Jerry Yan had recently been receiving non-stop invitations. The Golden Bell wants him to be in the Awards Night, to be one of the most shining among the stars in the red carpet. China TV drama "Dreams of Beijing" even offered him a main role, while they audition in every city in China for the rest of the cast. However, as he is busily preparing for his new album, he still can't return to Taiwan, courteously turning down Golden Bell's invitation."Dreams Of Beijing" is even more not possible. His agent Matt Cheng said "We have not even heard of this drama in the first place."
This November 17, Golden Bell will feature young idols to add glitter at the Awards Night. As it lacks star power, sponsors originally wanted Jerry to attend to increase star glitter. His agent even flew to Japan last week on a tight time, but yesterday, Matt Cheng then said "We only received the invitation last week, it's now very tight that we would have no time to prepare anymore, and the most we could return to Taiwan is on the 18th or 19th. Everybody guessed that they were working out a new project and yesterday, it was already announced that the 3 worked together on commercial for a Shanghai brand of contact lens. It is reported that Jerry worked for 3 days, earning himself endorsement fees worth $12 million of easy profits.
Jerry has wrapped up his Tourism Bureau events, and will proceed to Japan to continue his special training and would wait until he returns to Taiwan when his "Basketball of Fire" begins shooting. When e was tapped for the endorsement of the contact lens commercial, even his agent Matt Cheng can't help but say, "it really suits him." This Stanley Kwan commercial will have two versions - a 30-second clip and a 45-second clip which will be start showing in China on December. In just 3 days, 5566 member Sam Wang climbed up to Number 1 with 127,000 votes. Tony Sun and Wang Ru Feng also broke into the Top 10 list. As lead comers F4 and Fahrenheit fans fired their votes on-line, and CTS found out later that the earlier group of fans are "Poll Voting hacker fans" and changed the rules yesterday noon. As a result, Jerry Yan re-enters as the Top 1.
The poll voting for "Top 10 Taiwan Idols" just started last Friday and directed fans to vote at it's website at www.ttff.com.tw/idol/10idol.htm . Yesterday morning, Sam Wang and Jiro Wang both exceeded the 120,000 vote mark to land in the Rank 1 and Rank 2 places.This has lowered Jerry Yan's 80.000 votes to Rank 3 but in the afternoon, it dramatically climbed up as Top 1 and the Top 2 changed to "The Hospital" stars Jerry Yan and Janine Zhang. Sam Wang's high votes dropped to 80,000 votes and landed as Rank 3 while ex-Top 2 placer Jiro Wang's more than 100,000 votes was re-accounted and then landed to Rank 7.
Surprisingly, Mike He did not reach the top 10 list,loosing to Bang Bang Tang. Super famous Chun Wu only managed to get Rank 10, where he lost to others like Jimmy Lin, Tony Sun and Jiro Wang.
CTS indicated yesterday that they discovered that there were fans in the website who hacked their IDs to multiply their votes. Yesterday, Golden Bell Awards had released its nominations for this year, but Taiwanese idols including Da S, Xiao Zhu, Zai Zai, Wu Zun, Ella, Joe Cheng and many more all marched down. Jerry Yan vied his "The Hospital" to hit the Golden Bell Movie King, came up threatening but nevertheless lost. That drama which mainly took his appeal came up with 8 nominations, with copyright earnings from many countries already reached NT$100 millions, but actually stumbled down in his own homebase. Yesterday, Director Cai regretted, " It's really too bad for Jerry. His performance was gradually entering the borders of excellence, but maybe because the role was very limited."

This year's Golden Bell TV awards are dim with idol starlights. Yesterday, as the Public Information Agency announced the list of nominations, viewers were all disappointed with the turnout on their TV idol drama stars. Many activities were postponed or cancelled due to Typhoon Sepat. However, undaunted by it, around 1400 Japanese women were in Taipei this afternoon specially for F4's Jerry Yan fans session. Among them is a 71 years old woman who was too excited that she almost tripped. She hugged Jerry tightly, and other fans screamed when they saw.
