A few days ago, Jerry Yan was pictured to have met with big director Stanley Kwan and famous image consultant William Chang. Everybody guessed that they were working out a new project and yesterday, it was already announced that the 3 worked together on commercial for a Shanghai brand of contact lens. It is reported that Jerry worked for 3 days, earning himself endorsement fees worth $12 million of easy profits.
Jerry has wrapped up his Tourism Bureau events, and will proceed to Japan to continue his special training and would wait until he returns to Taiwan when his "Basketball of Fire" begins shooting. When e was tapped for the endorsement of the contact lens commercial, even his agent Matt Cheng can't help but say, "it really suits him." This Stanley Kwan commercial will have two versions - a 30-second clip and a 45-second clip which will be start showing in China on December. Matt Cheng revealed that the company would spend some NT$320 million in promotions.
Jerry is not really near-sighted. Normally, when he wants to drive out a car at night, he puts on his contact lens for safety. Although Stanley and William both pushed him down behind the scenes, as soon as the media left, Jerry then felt very relaxed, even played around with everyone during the filming, Matt Cheng said that even Stanley Kwan can't help but say, "he is really like a kid."

Yan cheng Xu (Jerry) had not filmed any drama nor released any album this year but his plans to bring in money had not stopped, as he discreetly flew to Shanghai, China from Japan last October 22 for a 10-million commercial contract for a Wei Kang contact lens. In addition Staley Kwan was tapped to film the commercial while William Chang was commissioned as the production designer to film according to movie standards. The only pitiful thing is that the commercial of these great masters will only be shown in China, and Taiwanese fans will have no chance to feast on it with their eyes.
At the start of October, Jerry was spotted to had met with Stanley Kwan , William Chang and Wong Kar Wai in a secret meeting in Hong Kong, guesses now revealed with his over 10-million contract in a contact lens commercial. That company tapped beautiful women Carina Lau, Rosamund Kwan, etc. as former endorsers, and this time, it's their first to try on a male star and also smashed a huge amount of money to film the commercial, estimated to spend 80 million in promotions. Stanley and William are both well-known perfectionists. A filming crew revealed that with just a scene of moving to aim a gun and a high salute took one whole day to film, coming with non-stop and repeated NGs. It's too bad that Taiwanese fans could bot watch it. Jerry had renewed his contract with Pepsi this year, Mia Jewelry plus this contact lens commercial. According to sources, these contracts earned him some $25 million already.

A friend revealed that he once spent going around the streets for 5 hours to woo away paparazzi. However, last night, after he went to Zai Zai's album signing, he rode the Cadillac shuttle car which quickly drove him out. When he found out that paparazzi were following him. he wanted to get rid of the paparazzi, so he jumped off from the car towards the dusty and "dirty" Cefiro car, originally driven by his driver. When he failed, he went to drive it himself, first leading the reporters to the river, and then called on another car to fetch him because paparazzi were blocking him.

When Jerry was to change car (left) in a narrow alley,
he accidentally bumped on the other colleague's car behind him
What is interesting is that he wanted to learn Jay Chou's technique in driving though narrow alleys. Reporters heard his diversionary tactic over his cell phone, " We will pretend to turn left and then you come in again." it's a pity his technique is not good enough, because his car was too long, and it would be hard for him to turn in the narrow road, when he tried to go back, he collided at another colleague's car's front bumper behind him. Yesterday, his agent Matt Cheng said," It doesn't matter, its his own staff's car."
